Measuring Success

We believe that its important to measure success. Statistics and reporting for e-mail marketing help you to understand what works, and what doesn’t. The data can be used to inform future decisions and put you back in control.

After sending an e-mail to your list, login to your mail sending program to find out what percentage of your messages were opened, and what your click rate was. Its also important to take a look at your unsubscribe numbers.

Mailchimp provides this helpful chart showing averages for various industries. Its interesting to know that for political messages, for instance,  an average of 13.72% of messages are opened.
